We wish to bring people together, to allow diverse artists to find common ground and interests. This is an environment where dancers of all bellydance styles can work together in classes, learn together and learn from each other. The instructors, who come from a variety of bellydance genres and backgrounds of experience, will be offering workshops that will have something for everyone; not just focused on genre-specific bellydance technique, but more on universals that everyone can feel a part of, and that you can apply to your own work.

2010 Lunchtime Panel Discussions

While your hips are taking a break, keep your head in shape at one of our moderated lunchtime panel discussions with conference instructors and special guests. Panel discussions will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday during lunch hour from 1:30-2:15pm at 440 Studios. Each day we will cover a different topic within Theatrical Bellydance:

Friday –“Theatrical Bellydance: Tradition vs. Fusion”
Saturday–“In Your Own Skin: Presenting the Body on Stage”
Sunday–“What is Theatrical Bellydance to you?“- What will you take away from the conference? How can it be improved? Audience participation encouraged and necessary!

You are welcome to bring your lunch (plenty of nearby restaurants do take-out). These panels are free and open to the public. No registration required. Bring your questions!

The legendary Morocco will also be joining us for Friday’s panel!
